History and adventure live high in the Monashee Mountains where you'll discover Rossland is a superb year-round family destination.

Known as "Canada's mountain biking capital," the area's thrilling trails follow old wagon roads, forested slopes and offer heart-stopping rides for the experts.

No less than five provincial parks as well as beautiful alpine lakes surround the area:
Champion Lakes Provincial Park, Beaver Creek Provincial Park, Nancy Greene Provincial Park and Gladstone Provincial Park.

Christina Lake has some of the warmest waters in the country. Champion Lakes also has sandy beaches and warm swimming areas. There's also fine fishing, great wildlife viewing and lovely picnicking spots.

Hikers can enjoy the scenery along gentle or more remote trails. And don't miss the new 7 Summits Skyline Trail, a 30-km (18.5-mi) ridge trail joining seven mountain peaks.

Experience living history at the Rossland Museum and take The Le Roi Gold Mine Tour, one of the only historic gold mine tours in Canada. Take a walking tour past Rossland's over two dozen historic buildings, some dating back as far as the 1890s.

Canada's renowned Red Resort offers a challenge any way you look at it. There's 360 degrees of skiing and boarding across Red and Granite Mountains. Enjoy exhilarating steeps, powder-filled bowls and some of the best tree skiing in North America.
